Together At Last!

The Fourth was a big celebration for us this year since we have been missing the daddy this past month and a half while he was re-taking his boards. We started out with some camping which was a huge success.

We roasted some dEEElicious s'mores

Carter slept through the night for the first time ever!

Then we went to a parade- as you can see Teya loved every bit of it. She also found two new best friends (the girls she is joined at the hip with) she would NOT leave their side for a minute it was hilarious.

To top it off we saw some sweet fireworks which believe it or not is hard to find in Vegas. Teya was sooo excited she was bouncing off the walls all night.
It was so fun to celebrate America and even better to do it with my hubby!
I love you babe-thanks for working your buns off for this family, you are my man!

Ohhhhhh Rats!!

A few weeks ago Teya, Carter, and I took a nice afternoon trip to our local Lowes to check out the flower selection in the garden department. This trip is always a very anticipated one because living in Las Vegas you don't get to see all the vibrant colors of Spring and Summer like you do in Idaho or Utah. On this particular day we got to see so many beautiful flowers and I kept thinking... how beautiful all of God's creations are.
We picked out our flowers and spent some time playing by the water fountains and as always Teya was pleading, "please mommy I get out the cart and walk wiss you?" How could I deny her? Beautiful vegetation...cool water features...etc. So I let her down, all the while I turn to grab some soil for my flower pots. Keeping Teya in my peripheral, I notice she is staying quiet and busy so I keep checking out brands, types, prices etc. after selecting my soil I turn to grab Teya and there she is ever so delicately stroking one of the creations I never hoped to behold in this natural setting...a dead RAT!
I may or may not have screamed NOOOOO!
Who cares about swine flu? I'm worried about yersinia pestis!

Yep this looks just about identical.

Beware The Ides of March

So the month of March was ridiculous; hence the reason why I failed to Blog! It all started with a string of viruses that caused Teya to have a fever of 103-4 degrees for about two weeks straight. That coupled with a series of mysterious bruises made us a little worried about possible white blood cell disorders, but she finally got over the fever and bruises only to move straight into a horrible cold- which was of course transferred to Carter being RSV giving him bronchiolitis for the next two weeks. Then after the many  doctor visits we found out that Carter's skull may have fused too early on various sutures so he may need surgery to repair his skull....all the while my hubby was gone half the month on externships leaving a house full of sick little munchkins and one big munchkin.

And then conference came and oh how it was needed! Truly, the gospel makes life so sweet!

Lambert the Sheepish Singer

I was just looking over this weeks American Idol performances on y0u tube and I almost vomited when I witnessed Adam Lambert sing Burning Ring of Fire. Does he have a wide range? Yes; but wow if I ever have to sit through something like that again please warn me to bring along Teya's training potty in case I hurl. What was with the sensual movements and the lifting of the shirt to show just a smidgen of his belly? Yuck!

Two Children

Why is it impossible to keep my house clean longer than a day? I contine to tell Eric how sorry I am that the house is cluttered or that dinner is late again because Teya was geting into something or Carter didn't take a long nap etc.etc. etc.
But now the proof...
Some little girl found where we keep the chocolate and who knows how it got under her shirt.

All because some momma was taking care of this little sweetie.

Oh life with two children...

Upon Request

Here are the interior features. There are still more features that this doesn't show I recommend going to Ju-Ju-Be.com and checking out the video. Although the bad news is that it was a little spendy, but I would buy it again if I had to. It is seriously my favorite thing ever and it is so sturdy I plan on using it for all my kids. In fact, I joked with Eric when we were going to sleep that if he could scoot over to make room for my bag that would be great. That's just how much I love it.

Here is the design I picked. I was a little wary about doing a bag with a print on it, but I was pleasantly suprised at how cute it is when you actually see it. By the way, if anyone wants this bag go for it! I am not one to care in the least if someone has the same thing as me.
